I'm Kimberly on paper, Reese to everyone who knows me, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Durham native offering virtual therapy to adults across North Carolina. If you've been searching for a Black therapist who gets the cultural context without you having to explain it, welcome. You found her. My work centers Black women and professionals navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, grief, life transitions, and the particular exhaustion of being everybody's strong one. I'm a Certified Neuropsychotherapist trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, and somatic, polyvagal-informed approaches, which is a fancy way of saying we can work with both the brain, the story, and the body that's been carrying it. I'm a clinician rooted in my own Christian faith who holds space for the full spectrum of your spiritual life. Whether your faith is your anchor, you're healing from church hurt or religious trauma, or you're in the middle of deconstruction and not sure what you believe anymore, there's room for all of it here. No agenda, no judgment, no pressure to land anywhere in particular. Therapy with me is warm, clinically grounded, and honest. Expect real conversation, a little dry humor, and a pace that respects your nervous system. And yes, I'll probably ask about your Enneagram type eventually. Beyond individual therapy, I offer therapy intensives for folks who want deeper work in a shorter window, FMLA and short-term disability evaluations, and consultation. I also provide clinical supervision for LCSW associates working toward full licensure. I'm in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and Aetna. Self-pay sessions are $200, and I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
