1. About Ujima Health Connect

Ujima Health Connect ("Ujima," "we," "us," or "our") is a free, searchable directory featuring Black healthcare providers in North Carolina. Ujima is a project of Veronyx Media LLC.

This site is intended to help users discover healthcare providers. It is not a medical referral service, a healthcare provider, or an insurance network, and nothing on this site constitutes medical advice.

2. Who can use this site

This site is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using Ujima Health Connect, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

3. Directory listings

Provider listings on Ujima Health Connect are compiled from publicly available information and/or submitted directly by providers or their authorized representatives.

Ujima reviews all listings for a valid NPI number and active licensure prior to approval. Listings may be denied or removed at our sole discretion, at any time, for any reason.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any listing. Information such as patient availability, accepted insurance plans, office hours, and services offered can change at any time. Users are strongly encouraged to confirm current details directly with a provider's office before scheduling an appointment.

Listing in this directory does not constitute an endorsement of any individual provider by Ujima Health Connect or Veronyx Media LLC.

4. Provider accounts and claimed profiles

Providers may claim their listing to access a Featured profile, which allows them to add a headshot, biography, sub-specialties, special populations served, and other personalized information. By claiming a profile, providers represent that:

  • They are the listed provider or an authorized representative
  • All information submitted is accurate and current to the best of their knowledge
  • They will promptly update their profile if information changes

Ujima reserves the right to remove or suspend any claimed profile at our discretion.

5. User reviews

Ujima Health Connect may allow users to submit reviews of providers listed in the directory. By submitting a review, you agree that:

  • Your review reflects your honest, firsthand experience
  • You will not submit false, misleading, defamatory, or harassing content
  • You will not submit reviews in exchange for compensation of any kind
  • You grant Ujima Health Connect a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your review on the site

Ujima does not verify the authenticity of reviews and is not responsible for their content. We reserve the right to remove any review at our sole discretion.

6. Prohibited conduct

When using this site, you agree not to:

  • Submit false, inaccurate, or misleading information
  • Impersonate any provider, organization, or individual
  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute directory content without permission
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the site

7. Intellectual property

All content on this site — including the Ujima Health Connect name, logo, and original written content — is the property of Veronyx Media LLC and may not be reproduced or redistributed without written permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Ujima Health Connect is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veronyx Media LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on any information contained herein.
